Is there possible to get infection at the physicians office?

Post a new topicby qwertyuiop on Fri Apr 25, 2008 12:26 am

Hi there,
Today, I went to hospital because of a minor painful urination. But what worries my is something else. the problem is that the doctor checked my urethra without using glove then opened its opening without glove and afterward inserted a swab inside my penis to collect sample (I guess for chlamydia or gonorrhea exam) again without using gloves( after touching stuff in his office to find the swab. )
I didn't say anything at that moment but now I am really really worried that I may have gotten some infection at the hospital.
would please help me and tell me about the probability of infection (HIV, other STDs that I may have gotten) and also what should I do? Do I need to take a test? I am sure that he had not washed his hand after the examining the patient before me?
I appreciate your helps in advance
Sid
