Last Time I PromiseHi Doctor,
Kevin here. I had another test done at 8 months post exposure. It was a HIV ELISA antibody test for HIV -1\2. It was negative. I also had a PCR DNA test for HIV 1\2, they came back negative also. Now the way I see it is that even if their was a remote possibility that I'm not producing antibodies the PCR DNA test would have picked something up. I recon I'm negative, would you agree. Here's the history of my other tests... 20 days after exposure the following results were obtained - ELISA HIV 1\2 Antobody Negative with Negative Western Blot accross all bands. P-24 antigen <20 (pg/ml), the doctor says that this is normal and due to background noise in the test alot of people will show something but as long as it's <20 thats fine, Proviral (for HIV -1) DNA by PCR came back negative. The doctor said that the PCR DNA will always come back accurate after 9 days post exposure and the P-24 will be accurate at 11 days post exposure. He said that my negative ELISA antibody tests at (ELISA 1\2\O) at 8, 12 and 26 weeks just hammered it home that I am HIV negative and also my normal T-Cell ratio
