Tom, most people with HIV have swollen glands in their neck, arm pits and groin that they can feel, early in infection and usually later. BUT, we don't diagnose hiv by swollen glands. Many people have swollen glands in their necks or groins without having hiv. The blood tests are necessary if you think you have HIV. Not diagnosing yourself at home by searching for physicial clues.
