The medical term for swollen glands is lymphadenopathy. Persistent means that they are not going away. Most newly infected people have swollen glands in their neck, in their arm pits and in their groin. The swollen glands can last weeks to months. The burning sensation in the back you keep mentioningis not typical. GR
