Thrush is caused by species of yeast that are ubiquitous. In other words, they are everywhere. Thrush is not transmissable, because it is not contageous. People only get it when their immune system is weak enough to allow an organism to infect that normally would be warded off by a normal immune system. People can have back pain with or without hiv infection. Anyone with thrush (unless there's a good reason like lots of antibiotic use, chemotherapy, bad diabetes) needs to see a doc who's expert in HIV. Good Luck GR
