IUI/Clomid/Endometrial HyperplasiaI am a 34 year old fertility patitent who has undergone 6 IUI cycles (with Clomid treatment), however, not consecutaively. The 2nd IUI resulted in a positive pregnancy, but with subsequent miscarriage. Following the miscarriage, I had a diagnostic laparoscopy - which helped to clear up a few adhesions and scattered endometriosis After laparoscopy, I had three additional IUIs, with no success. Following the fifth IUI, an ultrasound on day 3 of my cycle revealed remaining cysts, so Clomid was not prescribed and I sat out a cycle. Last month, the follicle scan was clear, so we resumed IUI/Clomid therapy (the 6th IUI). This too was unsuccessful. Today, however, on day 4 of my cycle, the follocle scan revealed two small cysts from last cycle, as well as a thickened endometrial lining - as thick as it was on day 14 of my last cycle; however, my period is over and I have no further bleeding. What does this mean? Why would my uterine lining be so thick at this point in my cycle? My OB/GYN felt fairly comfortable moving ahead this cycle with IUI/Clomid therapy, but now I'm not so sure I want to do that. Should I be concerned about my thickened lining?
Re: IUI/Clomid/Endometrial HyperplasiaWith all the hormonal manipulation it is hard to advise you on this finding .It can be normal due to the hormones and I would speak to the doctor regarding this.
