Post a new topicby livingwith on Wed Mar 05, 2008 12:55 pm

For about 2 years I was living with IC that was affecting me everyday. I complained many times but my parents, doctors, no one knew what could be the problem. They did many tests and everything usually came out negative. This past year they had...Read the full article

I am sorry that you are have IC at such a young age. I went to four doctors before I was diagnosed.
I have only been on the medication that they give for 3 months and I am getting better. I have been receiving a medication put directly into the bladder (with no pain) and it has worked very well. The main thing is that you need to see a urologist that specializes in IC. You can go on-line and pull up the IC Network.com It will give you so much information. What you eat can effect the bladder and they give a long list of foods that can give a problem. You can also read what other people have to say and that has help me. Sometimes you can find a support group and that is another way to obtain information about this condition. Good Luck.
