I was diagnosed two years ago. I am not currently undergoing treatment. My main symptom is frequency. I don't have urgency (thank God). I have some pain, but it is worse during my period. My doctor says IC pain can indeed get worse at this time. When I need to have a bowl movement and I have my period, too, the pain is unbearable. I know these are also symptoms of endometriosis but my doctor seems to think it's the IC. Any thoughts? I ALWAYS get a flare-up around the time of my period. As you said, the pain is unbearable, and I have frequency and urgency. I just learn to live with it, as I know it's going to happen every month. There's not really much you can do about it.

Have you had a cystoscopy to confirm if you have IC? Have you been diagnosed with frequent UTI's ?
