Interstitial Cystitis

Hi there!

I have had symptoms that closely align with IC for about 4 months now. I went through 4 rounds of antibiotics before seeing a urologist All cultures (urine/ vaginal etc) are negative. A cysco. showed that I have a small irritated patch in my bladder. No ulcers but I do have microscopic levels of blood in the urine (very little- not visible with the naked eye). The docs said that the patch of irritation was baffling since they didn't see infection and it didn't appear to be IC . Pelivc Ultrasounds and MRI are normal- blood work is normal.
I was told to take ibprofen 3X daily to help relieve inflammation. This was with the UCLA Urology center- I would expect a better answer than that. Pain is still coming and sometimes worse than others! Are there any other conditions that I could have???
