I'm visiting my doctor tomorrow for a check-up. I don't think Elmiron is working for me. Are there any other treatments I can talk to my doctor about aside from medication and diet modification?

I take elmiron and have flare ups, good and bad days, but continue to work.
I just found out that common baking Soda works for me when a flare up hits.
I have the instilations, the cathereter treatments, nothing works except Elmiron and a second drug. My family doctor had me see a specialist in Adult Psychiatry who is also an MD.............he gave me Klonipin 1/2 mg twice a day which has greatly helped me. This is a lesser dose than would be prescribed to help anxiety, but relaxes the bladder muscles just enough that it does not knock me out or change my mood.

So Elmiron, the Klonipin and it need once a month for flare ups....Baking Soda.has helped, but there needs to be one prescription for the IC.
