First Post , I'm New Here

Greetings to Everyone -

I am new here and I'll be 59yrs old next month. I'm a really late bloomer, as I have just begun menopause My doctor confirmed it two days ago. I actually didn't think I was going to ever hear this because due to debilitating periods, my uterus (but not ovaries) was removed when I was 26 yrs old.

In this cold weather I really don't mind the hot flashes, as I get cold really easily. But is it common to experience a sort of "lethargy" during this time? I have actually gone back to bed after getting up in the morning, and I've never done that before. This is not like me.

I am taking supplements and I used a book "Nutritional Healing", 4th edition, by Phyllis A Balch, CNC, to discern which supp's to take. So far, my biggest side-effect from "the change" isn't hot flashes, it's the lethargy. Do any of you have the same or similar side-effect? Have you found a way to stay energized? Is it temporary? All I want to do is sleep, it seems.

Thanks,
