Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

i'm 49 two c-section kids. I started heavily bleeding 3 months ago last month became anemic. It cannot be controlled by loestrin cause i'm still spotting have little sharp pains. I have 2 small fibroids should not be reason hysterectomy. doctor says y not main reason hysterectomy bleeding is. won't it stop? I take Asacol ulcerative colitis have been 3 months coincidently re is no indication it would increase menstral bleeding. I take .08 thyroid when decreased from .l0 seemed to cause my periods to increase. I had an endometrial biopsy it is not malignant. am I bleeding am I going to do. I'm taking iron along all se or pills nothing seems to be in control. I know my doctor wants me to make a decision or ride along spotting, it's up to me kindly I'm frustrated bleeding not to mention weak scd.

It is often times hard to know why one is bleeding. There are other options besides hysterectomy, one being a D&C, another be a Thermal balloon ablation. Speak to your doctor about them.
