Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

I am 44 years old have been having regular periods til lately. I usually have a period every 23 days last 3 days. In last year or so I have noticed my periods in beginning has been very dark thick in color, no noticable od, next day it is bright red, n end is back to dark. recently i have had a lot of mucous blood like a fibrous, stringy looking blood discharge. Is normal time in my life? Also periodically I have a lot of pain passing large blood clots, is also normal. I hope can answer some of my questions. Thank .

You should get these complaints evaluated by the doctor. They may be normal finding suggestive of perimenopause but also can be other things that deserve evaluation.
