scalp pain

Post a new topicby olygirl on Tue Sep 22, 2009 8:46 pm

I am a 48 year old woman, my last period was in January '09. I have experienced some minor hot-flashes, but they seem to be subsiding. However, for about 8 months, I have had some strange head pain in what I can only describe as in my scalp, always in the same area, just to the right of the top of my head, towards the back. It feels like someone has pulled my hair, or like a slight burning sensation, or even like I might have been bumped in the head. It comes and goes, I don't have it every day. Sometimes it is more constant.
I have had migraine problems (which were connected to my periods) in the past. Is this related?
Should I be concerned, and is there any sort of treatment I should try?
I am not overweight, and have no history of hypertension or any other health issues.
