cronic migraines

Post a new topicby birdie on Wed Jun 04, 2008 1:55 pm

Does anyone out there have the same kind of migraines I do. For me I can go back generations on my fathers side and see how they are heriditary. I have had a migraine since May 2,2008. My doctor prescribes vicodan and a naseau pill. But here I am pissed because nothing works short of going to the emergency room where they give me a shot of demerol and viseral. I eat balanced meals , have been caffenine free for 26 years, dont eat snacks, dont drink sodas, dont drink etc. I hate taking pain pills but have no choice and yet they still don't work. Anyone else in this same boat, I would love to hr=ear from you.
Regards,
Liz

hey, i am in the same perdicament as you. i have had a migraine for about 4 weeks now, and nothing seems to help. can't even sleep anymore except for a few scarce hours of the night. working full time and taking care of 2 kids doesn't help much when you can't sleep. i have been to the hospital in the middle of a full scale migraine and all they did for me was put me on a morphine drip for 6 hours and give me six 250mg Lorecet Plus tablets. they did a CAT scan and found nothing to cause it. then, being the wonderful people they are, they let me drive myself home. the drugs they gave me did absolutely nothing for the pain. I hardly ever drink soda (maybe 1 can a week) no drugs or alcohol either. I have had my eyes checked and nothing there either. if you find something out for your migraine, please give me a heads-up. it would be much appreciated. and i will do the same for you.

maybe we can figure this out together? please make sure the subject line reads something about migraines or i may not get it.
pals in pain,
jessica.
