Higher Altitude and MigrainesI have had Migraine's all of my life from the time that I was 14 years old until now which I am 50. I' am from sea level and now am visiting family in Wyoming and have suffered from 3 head aches so far into my trip and only have been here for just two weeks. I was wondering if anyone has ever had problems with higher altitude and suffering from more migraines because of it. At home at sea level just in the past few months I have noticed that I have been getting them maybe twice a month but mostly just once a month. I did go through a period of time that I never got any for many years, and that was in my 40's. Hope someone responds with there experiences.
Re: Higher Altitude and MigrainesI also have experience severely painful migraines at higher altitude. I try to drink lots and lots of water because I have been told that dehydration occurs at higher altitudes and dehydration can also cause migraines. However, it would only hold it off for about three days. Hope that might help.
