migraines and brain lesionsI had an attack of dizziness, did not really know where I was at an I dont really remember much about even going to the hospital. I suffer from migraines (although I was not suffering from one that night)
The physician ran some tests and found legions on my brain. He stated that this was PROBABLY from the migraines Does anyone know if this is true? Has anyone ever had this before?

Re: migraines and brain lesionsThis past summer I noticed a small spot in my vision that wouldn't go away, and after being referred to a few doctors, I had a neurologist run some tests (MRI) and I too found out I had white matter brain lesions. I've had classic migraines with aura since I was 5-6 years old and now I am in my late twenties. This was the first time I ever heard that this could happen from migraines. I was very upset and I had to endure a spinal tap to rule out MS. I'm now on preventative medication, but I had very cold neurologist who did not explain things well at all and left me with more questions than answers. My migraines have decreased some, but I am averaging about 2-3 per month as opposed to 4-5. I hope you have a good neurologist who can help you get your migraines under control to prevent further damage to your brain.
