JB ... special thanks for this news . this really did mean so much to me...and also to my mum, who hopes one day to be a grandmum for the first time !! :-) Postitive news like this gives us both such a lift as i guess that was the main question we...and im sure all reading who has had PID are so eager to know.

Thank you so much for your post ...have not checked yahoo answers yet ...its the one place i didnt think to check but im sure il be up in the wee small hours of tonight. It's very kind of you to pass on this information ..it certainly does give hope !! Good luck to you too ...take care ...Cath

I'd just like to take the opportunity to say to any ladies reading as ill as i felt (and as low as i felt) when i was in hospital ...also depressed having found out some very upsetting news regarding situation with ex boyfriend ...coming to terms with knowing its PID ...i thought ...well thats it !! Before i was due to come home a really excellent dr came to see me or he was consultant not sure ...remember him walking to my bed ..my legs turning to jelly wondering what was to be said ..If this applies to me ..it must apply to some of the other ladies on this site ...Everything is fine ...he said your ovulating and the cyst ? you prob dont know but this has been going on for long time and is PERFECTLY NORMAL ...he said they were able to tell...and i have had pains on and off for years but not very bad ..i thought it was IBS (irritable bowel) ...i was relieved !! and he did say i know your panicking but he said good news we found that trans vaginal scan !! and we have looked at this and your fine there was lots of eggs and from what they can see alls ok (perhaps thats why they didnt give me a laperoscopy in hospital (they might have thought she dosent need it) The most important thing he also offered to arrange counselling for me when i left hospital ....apologising for the length of time it took and some of the proceedures with MRI scans ect i did ...and for stress really. He was exceptionally kind and looking back it seemed like he talked though the questions i had and my worries for 3 quarters of hour ....on my hospital discharge sheet they give to you when you leave it says final Diagnosis ...abdominal pain and vaginal discomfort .. Secondary diagnosis ...Asthma, generalized Anxiety State ..... My point why i mention ?? i think a lot of this PID condition is fear and anxiety !! people can overcome this if they stay positive ! and they understand this does not mean N0 children...but anxiety and fear will stop people getting better...so please to anyone dont let this happen talk about your fears to a doctors and he will help. That dr before i left was very good to me and i will remember him . Well i didnt attend counselling as my appointment came round one year after and by then i dealt with it ...but finding this site and speaking for the firsttime about what happened has help me to come to terms with some of what i went through ...THANKS to all for being there it has helped somuch reading other womens experiences ...now im positive ...most af all im better ... cath
