Re: Excercise and PID

Thats ok no problem, everyone is different, mine were a tiny one off amount of brownish blood (sorry to be graphic), shooting pains in the tops of my legs, dizziness period pain feeling that wouldnt ever go no matter what i took, back ache and just not feeling right. I am the same as you as in i want answers to know what damage it has done but if i have a laparoscopy i run the risk of getting another infection so i am tempted to leave it until it comes a time where i cant concieve. its tough i know and i do feel for you. you also need to explore the other options of endometriosis fibriods, ibs, just to rule all of that out. with PID it can be an acute case or an ongoing case but antibiotics should usually clear the initial infection. you could try the herbal route maybe and having good bacteria drinks/yoghurts, quitting smoking if you smoked, eating well and generally trying to look after yourself. PID is always a shady subject i have noticed so if you do need anymore information just shout, any question you have i will try and help you from my own exeperience. hope this helps.

Okay, one more thing, while reading over the symptoms that you experienced with PID, I noticed you didn't include gas. Yes, it's a nasty thing to discuss, but that's my biggest worry. I've got all this swelling in my abdominal area, and my stomach just rolls and grumbles with it. That noted, I do not pass much gas, but instead, am burping. My family doctor told me that it was due to the bacterial infection, and that my digestive tract was also susceptible to PID. So far though, I haven't come across anyone else who has discussed severe bloating or gas.

Thanks a million!

That's what sort of made me think towards ibs just to rule that out but i had no problem with gas that i can remember, my stomach was swollen up like i was 5 months pregnant though talk about adding insult to injury. the swelling did go down though over time. i would explore all options as well as PID though, this could be something seperate and havent heard of it spreading to the stomach and i have read ALOT on this subject, sometimes too much i think!
