Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)

Hi everyone When I was 16 I was diagnosed with chlymidia , I had antibiotics which cleared up the infection , But I am 19 now and having the same symtoms as PID Painful intercourse painful urination tenderness in the lower stomach and irregular periods also low back pain , I have been going back and fore the doctors for 18 months with this and only 1 month ago they referred me to the gynecologist so I am now waiting for a appointment to go and see them which I was told last week could take another 3 weeks . I am so worried as I know this could cause infertility . Is 18 months a long time to have PID and in this time could it have caused a lot of scarring to my tubes? Thankyou
