I think I may have PID???

Post a new topicby stacin80 on Sun Feb 15, 2009 10:12 pm

I was diagnosed with chlamydia about a month ago, I have taken all the antibiotics to get rid of that, and now I have a dull pain in my lower abdomen. I also have had a little bit of diarrhea, and fatigue. Could this be a sign of PID? I've read the pain can be quite bad, but this pain is mostly on my right side and dull and constant. I'm going to call the dr tomorrow, but I'm kinda worried. I've had the pain for 2 days now and it's not getting any better. Just wondering if anyone has had PID in the past with these symptoms?

Thanks

I had the same symptoms you describe and was diagnosed with PID this week. You should definitely go to a hospital immediately to start antibiotics. Apparently the damage gets worse each day you wait. I went to the urgent care centre at a Women's Hospital. Good luck

I went to the dr the next day, and they told me it was nothing... I recently started my period, but I'm not sure if this is why I was having those symptoms. My dr told me to take ibuprofen for the next 3 to 5 days and see if things get better. That's what I'm doing and my symptoms have decreased. I'm still not sure though. Thanks

I would still see someone just to be safe! Is there a clinic or hospital that specializes in women's health near you? Your symptoms really do sound like PID. I've also just learned that PID symptoms are likely to come on during or right after your period.
