PID question

Post a new topicby fashionista1998 on Tue Jul 29, 2008 1:26 pm

I was in the hospital last night after three days of intense pain in my abdominal. They did cat scan, xrays, pelvic exam and blood work. They said I had a lot of bacteria in my blood and during my pelvic exam. My pelvis was very tender to the touch. The doctor said I probably have PID But I will not know if I have an STD for four days. I have been married for five years and have two kids and I have had a womans exam every year since I was 18 and every test when I was pregnant. If I got an STD wouldn't that have showed up then???? Does anybody know???

I would think it would show up on those tests... and you would've been tested if you were pregnant. I had PID with no STD, although I had had one a few years prior, and the doctors seem to be incredulous to that. If you don't mind me asking did you test positive for anything?
