Birth control pills do tend to help with cramping and bleeding by regulating the hormones produced .They are not always used for birth control which I am sure concerns your father.

I understand your fathers concerns however having suffered from such an early age myself i feel that that decision shlould be yours. Its your body and your very real pain!!! But there are other alternatives.... The pill really messed me up as i had to try so many of them. I tried Naproxen amognst other forms of meds. After going through hell and im now 27 the only way i can try to control the pain is from heat pads, ibuprofen and paracetamol taken concurrently. I dont use tampons as they caused me great pain. I take magnesium supplements and drink plenty of water and rest. Sorry i cant give you a cure xxxxxxxxx
