helphi im 17 years old...when i get my period...it comes realy heavy to wear i have to change my tampon every thirty mins to an hour...and cramps come so bad i cant move...is there any way i can change it... when i went to the doctors they said birth control would help but i didnt get on it because my father doesnt apporove but when i look for facts about birth control helping out..i cant find them...can u tell me if it helps? thanx
i thought if i had facts about birth control helping my father would think about it...if you have any can u send them please.
Re: helpBirth control pills do tend to help with cramping and bleeding by regulating the hormones produced .They are not always used for birth control which I am sure concerns your father.

Re: helpI understand your fathers concerns however having suffered from such an early age myself i feel that that decision shlould be yours. Its your body and your very real pain!!! But there are other alternatives.... The pill really messed me up as i had to try so many of them. I tried Naproxen amognst other forms of meds. After going through hell and im now 27 the only way i can try to control the pain is from heat pads, ibuprofen and paracetamol taken concurrently. I dont use tampons as they caused me great pain. I take magnesium supplements and drink plenty of water and rest. Sorry i cant give you a cure xxxxxxxxx
