Just getting worseI have always had bad PMS symptoms. They include everything you can imagine but it seems after having my baby it has gotten worse. I get breast tenderness, bloating, nausea, stomach cramps, diariah, moodiness and even pain in my side for no appearant reason, back pain and just feel miserable.. a week after my cycle stops, it all goes away and I am so happy, then it starts back up again, almost like a building valcano, I get so moody and just feel so angry inside. I realize whats happening, so I am able to stop just blowing up at everyone, but sometimes I just cry. I am thinking about seeing a doctor, but before I just felt like they would shrug it off as they have before. Maybe someone can give me advice on how to talk to a doctor about it, there has got to be something that helps. Its very hard when you have a three year old at the same time, LOL.
Re: Just getting worseI too feel like you do at least 2 weeks before my period starts. Not only do I have the mood swings, aching back, crying, depression, swelling feet, hedaches, and now it's my sinuses. I feel like someone is taking over my body for 2 weeks and I don't know how to stop it. I get to the point that I have a feeling of sorrow. It's getting worse and I need to get it under control. I did take the supplements, exercise and eat right but doing the Holidays I was so stress I forgot about doing all of that stuff. Boy, an I'm paying for it now.
Re: Just getting worseI am in the same boat. This past year has been the worst. As I get older the symptoms get worse and more pronounced. Anxiety, mood swings...all of it. It's almost like I am pregnant all over again for those few days.
My doctor just told me to take Motrin or Midol a couple of days before my period starts...It's like she was looking at me as if i have lost my mind. Also, Since this past March, i have put on about 20 lbs. The weight is pretty evenly distributed but my breasts have gotten much much bigger...just like when you get pregnant... Im only 37 but I feel like I am being dealt a double whammy!!! What can I do?
Re: Just getting worseHi there,
I know how you feel - PMS is definitely WORSE after baby. I've had 2 and it keeps getting worse with each child. It's terrible. My sister had the same thing and her dr. definitely did NOT shrug it off - he put her on Yaz and it helped a lot. She now handles PMS a lot better. I cannot tolerate the pill - tried it already - but if you can, it might be worth asking your dr. about. Good luck and feel better - but don't feel silly about talking to your dr. - it's their job to help you!
