PMS or kidney stones?when I'm moving, I'm fine but when I sit still, then it hurts. Actually, when I'm laying down it's fine too. The pain is on the right side and usually move back and forth between my lower side on the right, and my back on the lower side too. Heating pad seems to help. I have other signs of PMS also but I just cannot get rid of the pain so I don't know if it can be kidney stone too. It doesn't hurt when I breate, it just keeps hurting whether I breathe or not.. that is if I am standing or sitting. Moving or laying down are the only times when it doesn't hurt. It hurts only usually close to dinnertime until I go to bed so it's more like night time pain. Heating pad also helps. oh, no fever, I still have my appetite and no nausea or vomiting.
Re: PMS or kidney stones? It doesn't sound like a kidney stone from what you describe, good luck.
Re: PMS or kidney stones?HI Lisa - have you had an ultrasound scan to check for an ovarian cyst ? i have had a cyst before (and prob regularly in my life) my cyst was on my left overy but i was only feeling pain on my right side because it was pressing on my bowel so therefore i felt the pain at the end of my bowel .
It was discovered when the pain was extreme and i was admitted to hospital and had morphene (i was scanned the next day) If you have no symtoms of UTI (although sometimes a cyst but not always can cause more frequent urination) or if you have symptoms which seem like IBS irritable bowel its well worth getting an ultrasound , mosts cysts are normal and do break down in the body, sometimes they do cause problems . Heat does work and so does ibruprofen and just resting while the pain is there . Hope you feel better soon Best Wishes Cathy
Re: PMS or kidney stones? My apologies UroDoc ...i accidently posted to Lisa on your post.
