PMS Symptoms effecting life and relationshipsI have noticed that every month just prior to my menstruation I go through horrible mood swings which have caused me to temporarily leave my relationship of 7 years. I realize the symptoms but it is so hard when it is happening to rationalize and stop the destructive behaviors. What I would like to know is if there are proven holistic treatments for the symptoms and if there are what are they and have you yourself tried and found them helpful? Thank you for any feedback you might be able to provide me with.
Re: PMS Symptoms effecting life and relationshipsI completely relate with knowing it will pass but yet still suffering as it happens....my PMS makes me totally lose my appetite..have terrible heartburn.....have diarrhea and lash out at anyone in my path. Sometimes I feel so depressed I want to just go to the hospital to have someone take care of me. I am 39 and debate going on the pill for this and also want to avoid anti-depressants if possbile
Re: PMS Symptoms effecting life and relationshipsI can totally relate to this as well. In fact, I am experiencing horrible PMS symptoms right now!!! I have been in a relationship for almost 5 years and when my period is approaching I can barely look at him without getting angry and/or frustrated. I get angry to the point where I pick fights, act distant, and cry. And of course when all of this happens he gets mad at me in return. I am only 23 and currently taking birth control pills that are supposed to help with severe PMS, but it's not working!! I am so sorry to hear about your relationship, I hope that things will work out for you. You are not the only one dealing with this! If I hear of anything that works well I will keep you posted.
