Signs and Symptoms

Ovulation does not occur regularly in women who have polycystic ovary syndrome. Signs of PCOS include irregular menstrual periods (e.g., light or infrequent menstruation [oligomenorrhea], absence of menstruation [amenorrhea]) and infertility.
