pregnant at a young age

Post a new topicby teenmother123 on Tue Jul 15, 2008 5:34 pm

okay so im 15 and pregnant but ill be 16 in 2 weeks. i been with my boyfriend for two years and a half. my parents never aloud us together so we always would sneak around. but my mom relized i wouldnt take no for an answer and there was nothing else she could do. i moved in the with him and thats when i got pregnant. i am 9 weeks and a half the baby is due feb.9.2009. my family and the fathers family wanted an abortion or his mother wanted to take custody but i will fight. and i do not agree with abortions. i am scared how i will be able to finish school and get a good job. but i an willing to do whatever it is to give me and my baby a good life. i was plannig on night school and work during the day and put the baby in daycare when im at work.and some schools have a place in it to keep your kids while your getting your education. but it will be hard for me to get rides back and forth to work and school.well i really havent talked to my dad about this whole experince since he told me he wanted me to have an abortion and he said if i decide to have it he will support me as much as he can.and for my driving school i am just going to get a book and study than go for a book test. and if i pass after that i go to a drivers ed school and drive for 6 hours and than take the road test and by than i should be seventeen and able to drive. also in about a month i am going to put some baby things on layaway. i pretty much have it planned out. i am back with my mother and she is allowing me and the baby to live with her untill i can afford my own place.i just never thought this would happend to me after seeing my mother struggle with me and my sisters while being a teenage mother.

Hopefully the fathers gonna be helping out a lot too cause school, work and a baby all in one is gonna wear you out faster than you can imagine.

It's great to see your back with your mother. That will help a lot in the coming months, especially when going back and forth between doctors visits (very important). At least your all ready trying to plan things out. It's a LOT of responsiblity but try not to get too overwhelmed. Just take everything one step at a time and things will go smoother than you think.

Even though you haven't had the baby yet, you may want to start going to parents groups. Many area's even have groups specifically for teen parents (that's what i go to ). and trust me, they can help a lot.

I wish you and your baby good luck. Be sure to keep us here in the forum updated with how everything goes!
