I am a 32 yaer old mother of two who developed Vaginal Prolapse about 9 months ago. I saw my gyn who decided that it was merely cosmetic & as long as I was not experiencing anything extremly uncomfortable we would do nothing. Well now 9 months later I have both a dropped bladder & decended uterus. It seems to be progressing quickly. I am now in constant discomfort & have a sensation of things being out of plase. Not to mention the fullness in my vagina & the vaginal wall tha...Read the full article

Thank YOU for your candid post. I am much older than you and find it most embarressing to deal with this problem. I am glad you now have someone competent and with sensitivity now to care for you.
Most physicians are excellent, but the one you were seeing needs to return to school. To allow a serious medical need to go unmanaged is neglect. Keep us posted on your progress.

I am now scheduled for surgury on March 6, 2008! I am so thankful that I decided to get a second opinion. I have second degree anterior prolapse and posterior prolapse. They will fix that along with the badder. I also found out that I have a deficient perinium. I hadn't even heard of this before! I have less than a half centimeter of my perinium left so they will also do perineal reconstruction to fix that as well. It's alot to deal with in short notice but atleast we are on the road to getting things taken care of.

No one my age has any idea of what I am talking about so I just say nothing to avoid the list of questions that always follow. I am not sure that my husband totally understands.

Thanks for your post!
