Hey,
I am 34 and had multiple prolapses. I feel like you do. I am too young for this. I have felt so unsexy, fatigued and had pain all the time. I just went through surgery a week ago. I feel better but I am sore. I had vaginal surgery and they removed my cervix. I had already had a Partial hysterectomy ( don't get me started on that). What I am nervous about is recovery. They tell me "don't lift", "don't clean","just rest", but yet they say I am ok to go back to work after just a week of recovery. I am a school teacher and I guess they think my job is so easy. Ok back on topic. I feel your pain and understand what is going through your mind. What I have learned is that prolapse is more common than I thought. Even in our age group. Think about all the things we do to our bodies. Lifting and moving furniture by ourselves, lugging in multiple bags of groceries, lifting kids etc. We are too independent and I just learned I have to rely on others to get things done. I hope you have gotten help. I just found this website and hope others might respond.

I am having surgery on June 3th for a cystocele. I have seen 4 surgeons and hope I have chosen the best. I am very worried about the recovery time and not having to come home with a catheter or supra pubic tube? Did you have either of these? What is worse is that I have a weak bladder due to polio. The surgeon is not going to use a sling on me. I ha d urpdynamics testing done twice and they coudl not get me to leak. So, with the weak bladder, they are not using the sling. I may have some incontience after but the cystocele has dropped so badly that it is coming out of my vagina. Can't wait too much longer. I am very scared. Please write back

Hi all, I'm so glad to have found this site...I'm still in shock after 5 or so years of dealing with this...after researching and researching I finally found that I have uterine prolaspe and the sad thing about my situation is that I don't have any children. My doctor keep saying, "this normally happens to females that has had mutiple children...One of you said after sitting for a long while ( like driving for 12 hours) then lifting heavy boxes and furniture that could have done it? I agree I've moved out of my parents house at the age of 18, I'm now 38, I've always lived on the 3rd floor and always help with the heavy stuff and I'm a small person 5'4 132 pounds and used to be smaller.
