Vaginal colpopexy failureOn May 28, 2008, I had an extra-peritoneal, vaginal colpopexy. I am 51 yrs. old and had a hysterectomy 7 yrs. ago. My complaints had been pelvic pain when walking, standing, lifting, and bending. I also had vaginal pain standing up or sitting down, while bearing down for a bowel movement or while urinating.

Re: Vaginal colpopexy failureI am having similar symptoms and am scheduled to see a urologo-gyn in latter March. It hurts me in my vaginal area to walk and my Primary Care doctor has treated me for several UTI and nothing has helped. I had a hysteromy about 35 years ago and did some heavy lifting in December in a new weight training and that is when the problem started.
